And, if you are new to yoga, no matter how athletic you are, consider beginning in our Yoga 1 classes to truly understand Functional Yoga methodology and develop an educated, not imitative practice.

Ultra Gentle Yoga

For older seniors or others who may have more limited mobility. Out of care for you during this health-challenging time, these classes are currently online only.  
Teacher Audrey Walzer uses her 40 years of teaching knowledge to help you to gently increase range of motion and strength in hips & legs, back, shoulders and wrists, including functional breathing for core strength and for stress reduction. Each class concludes with guided relaxation.

Suggested Personal Equipment: Yoga Mat, Chair, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga therapy balls. Ultra-light theraband.  Audrey can send you a link for any props you don’t have in order to purchase online.  

Yoga 1

Is the class for adults to learn the fundamentals of our Functional Yoga method, even if you are super athletic or have practiced yoga previously.


Thorough instruction in postural alignment and core supported breathing form the foundation of practices which balance range of motion and strength, and develop body awareness.  Each class concludes with time to deeply relax and quiet the mind.  If you are an older senior, or someone with especially limited mobility, you may wish to join our Ultra Gentle classes, which are currently held online only, out of care for you during this health-challenging time

Suggested Personal Equipment: Yoga Mat, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga blanket or beach towel, yoga therapy balls.  Ultra-light theraband. These can be purchased at Camarillo Yoga Center or online. 

 

Yoga 1 & 2 (studio)

Is the class for those new to Camarillo Yoga, who have no current injuries, and for Yoga 2 students who want to deepen an understanding of yoga fundamentals and move at a slower pace.


Teachers adjust to fit the needs of the group, with fundamental practices including standing postures, core and upper body strengthening. Each class concludes with time to deeply relax and quiet the mind.

Suggested Personal Equipment: Yoga Mat, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga blanket or beach towel, yoga therapy balls. Ultra-light theraband. These can be purchased at Camarillo Yoga Center or online.

 

Outdoors classes currently socially distance 10’ apart.

Yoga 1 (Outdoors)

No yoga experience required for this Functional, fun outdoor class which incorporates range of motion and balance practices including functional gait (walking) practice.


A great way to socially distance, yet be part of a group class with Audrey, voted “Ventura County’s BestYoga Teacher 9 years in a row.

Suggested Personal Equipment: Yoga Mat, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga blanket or beach towel, folding chair. Blocks and straps can be purchased at class.

 

yoga 2 and 2-3 (studio and Zoom)

Intermediate practice and instruction for students who are thoroughly familiar with Functional Yoga methodology, alignment and breathing.


Suggested Personal Equipment:  Yoga Mat, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga blanket or beach towel, yoga therapy balls, foam roller.  These can be purchased at Camarillo Yoga Center or online.

yoga 2-3 (outdoors)

Intermediate yoga practitioners with no current injuries flow and breathe deep with rejuvenating practice in the lush Hartley Botanica Gardens, to the sound of birds and waterfalls


Classes scheduled from Spring through Autumn.

Suggested Personal Equipment:  Yoga Mat, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga blanket or beach towel. Blocks and straps can be purchased at class. 

Outdoors classes currently socially distance 10’ apart.

Yoga 3

For students with no current injuries who are thoroughly familiar with asana alignment and yoga breathing.


This class incorporates “vinyasa,” linking sequences of movements, building body awareness, strength and stamina.  Basic inversions are included in this class.

Suggested Personal Equipment:  Yoga Mat, 2 Sturdy 4” yoga blocks, yoga strap, yoga blanket or beach towel, yoga therapy balls, foam roller. Blocks and straps can be purchased at class.

A challenging class for adults with no injuries, who are physically fit, and firmly grounded in Ujayii breathing and asana alignment. 


Yoga 4 further develops stamina and mindfulness through postures which require balanced strength and flexibility. If you have never practiced yoga but want a strong workout, we request that you begin in the Fundamental classes before attending Yoga 4.

Primary
